"Camphor Trees Accompany the Law, Constitution Lights the Way" - Successful Holding of the 12·4 National Constitution Day Rule of Law Lecture and Gala

To thoroughly implement and promote the spirit of the Constitution and enhance the legal literacy of teachers and students, Nanchang University grandly held the National Constitution Day Legal Awareness Lecture and Gala at the Concert Hall of Qianhu Campus on the evening of December 4, 2025. With the theme of "Camphor Accompanies Law, Constitution Lights the Way", this event was sponsored by the Leading Group for Legal Popularization Education of Nanchang University and co-organized by the Publicity Department of the Party Committee of Nanchang University, the Communist Youth League Committee of Nanchang University, and the Law School of Nanchang University.

The event featured speeches by Liao Yuanxin, Li Tiansheng, and Yang Feng respectively. Combining the practice of comprehensive rule of law and the requirements for cultivating legal talents, they encouraged young students to strengthen their ideals and beliefs, refine their professional skills, integrate the spirit of the Constitution internalize deeply, and strive to become new-era builders of the rule of law who are loyal to the Party, the country, the people, and the law. Their earnest instructions conveyed profound expectations.

Subsequently, the plaque awarding ceremony marked a new stage of institutionalized and regularized cooperation and co-construction between Nanchang University and judicial practice departments. It vividly reflected the spirit of collaborative education between the university and procuratorate to cultivate new legal talents, expanded practical teaching platforms, jointly explored new models for cultivating legal talents, and injected new momentum into nurturing high-quality reserve forces for the rule of law.

The gala featured rich and exquisitely arranged programs that vividly interpreted the spirit of the rule of law through artistic expressions. The opening legal story "Rule of Law in China on Horseback" with its majestic momentum reviewed the fine tradition of people's justice going deep into the grassroots and conducting circuit trials, demonstrating the judicial concept of "where the national emblem is, the court is opened there". The subsequent dance "Celebration of Three Realms" integrated diverse ethnic dance elements, showcasing the profoundness and breadth of Chinese culture and its harmonious coexistence under the protection of the rule of law through vivid dances. The legal story "Starry Sea", from the youthful perspective of Nanchang University students, talked about legal ideals and expressed infinite longing and firm commitment to the bright future of a law-based China. The skit "Anti-Fraud Alliance" closely followed social hot topics, exposing common fraud tactics in a humorous way, conveying prevention awareness through laughter, and highlighting the law's protection of people's property safety. Additionally, the situational drama "Article 14" ingeniously integrated constitutional provisions into daily life narratives, making abstract legal provisions tangible and perceptible through vivid court mediation scenes, and reflecting the close connection between the Constitution and citizens' rights. The sharing session "Chasing the Light" sincerely recounted the mental journey and persistent adherence of legal professionals in pursuing fairness and justice. The performance "To Our Generation" expressed the lofty aspirations of the young generation to shoulder the mission of the times and forge ahead with passionate melodies and graceful dances. The gala finally came to an end with the magnificent vocal performance "Radiance", which elevated personal faith in the rule of law to profound affection for the motherland, expressed the common aspiration to be firm practitioners of the rule of law, and deeply resonated with the entire audience.

The entire event was closely linked and progressed layer by layer, naturally integrating Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law and the spirit of the Constitution into every link. Through innovative expressions of diverse artistic forms such as legal stories, dances, skits, lectures, and choruses, it successfully sowed the seeds of the rule of law in the hearts of teachers and students, achieving the unity of ideology and artistry, and the combination of educational and ornamental value.

This event is a successful practice of Nanchang University in innovating the form of legal publicity and education and solidly promoting the construction of campus legal culture. It not only provided a platform for teachers and students to appreciate the beauty of the rule of law but also created a strong campus atmosphere of respecting and upholding the Constitution. The Law School will continue to cooperate with the university to deepen law-based education, guide teachers and students to consciously become loyal advocates, conscious abiders, and firm defenders of socialist rule of law, and make new and greater contributions to cultivating more high-quality legal talents with both virtue and legal expertise and serving the construction of a law-based China and a law-based Jiangxi.
