"Carrying the Dao with Law, Walking with Law" — Nanchang University Grandly Holds the "12·4" National Constitution Day Gala

To thoroughly implement the spirit of the Constitution, enhance the constitutional awareness of all teachers and students, promote the spirit of the rule of law, strengthen faith in the rule of law, promote the comprehensive implementation of the Constitution, and boost the development of the university with the power of the rule of law, Nanchang University grandly held the "12·4" National Constitution Day Gala at the Concert Hall of Qianhu Campus on the evening of December 3, 2024. The gala was co-sponsored by the Publicity Department of the University Party Committee and the Law School, and undertaken by the Communist Youth League Committee, Student Union, and Graduate Student Union of the Law School, the Research Center for the Construction of the Rule of Law in Jiangxi, the Jiangxi Local Legislation Research Center, and the Jiangxi Provincial Education Legislation Research Sub-center.

The gala was divided into three chapters: "Regulating Oneself and Abiding by the Law to Praise the New Trend of the Times", "Carrying the Dao with Law to Paint a Grand Picture of the Prosperous Age", and "Walking with Law to Talk about National Peace and People's Security", with a grand award ceremony interspersed. Through a variety of ingenious programs, the gala presented a visual and auditory feast to the audience, and also profoundly conveyed the concept of the rule of law.

Chapter 1: "Regulating Oneself and Abiding by the Law to Praise the New Trend of the Times". The modern folk music ensemble "Jingwei" featured traditional Chinese musical instruments and modern music, with a unique performance. The collision and integration of traditional Chinese culture and modern art sparked beautiful sparks; the comedy sketch "15 Minutes Left in the Exam" combined online hot memes, vividly revealing the procrastination phenomenon of contemporary college students facing exams from the unique perspective of law students, and reminding every audience in an entertaining way: "Seize the moment and encourage yourself, for time waits for no one". The dance medley "Latin Dance" connected multiple dance songs in series. The dancers were passionate and unrestrained, and the rhythm progressed layer by layer, igniting the passion of the audience; Luo Yuan, Huang Wei, Zeng Tianyu, and other lawyers from Beijing Deheng (Nanchang) Law Firm who are also alumni of Nanchang University brought the chorus "Your Answer", conveying the spirit of legal professionals who fear no loneliness and uphold justice with touching singing.

In the award ceremony of the gala, the Law School commended the advanced individuals who performed outstandingly in the special work of the college in 2024. Dean Yang Feng of our college won the "Outstanding Contribution Award" for his outstanding contributions to the construction of the college. The guests attending the event presented honorary certificates to the winners and took group photos with them.

Chapter 2: "Carrying the Dao with Law to Paint a Grand Picture of the Prosperous Age". The dance "Fake Love" set the audience on fire, showing the vitality of youth; the comedy sketch "Anti-Fraud Alliance" was humorous, exposing fraud tricks in unexpected ways, reminding the public to be vigilant and enhance their anti-fraud awareness; Liu Qian, Founding Partner and Deputy Director of Jiangxi Sihai Law Firm and 2009-level Juris Master graduate of Nanchang University, affectionately sang the song "Borrow Another Five Hundred Years from Heaven", whose powerful and passionate music and melody deeply moved everyone present.

Chapter 3: "Walking with Law to Talk about National Peace and People's Security". The award-winning work of Nanchang University Group Dance Competition "Three Realms Celebration" integrated dances of various ethnic groups, expressing the love of the nation and presenting a grand scene of national unity; the song "Hello Youth, Flowers Bloom in China" deeply aroused the patriotic feelings of the audience with its passionate lyrics and pleasant melody. The drama "The Message" reproduced that arduous historical period, vividly telling the glorious deeds of revolutionary martyrs who forged ahead with heavy burdens, fought bravely, and made selfless contributions, which commanded great respect.

With the passionate melody of the chorus "The Powerful Generation Has Me", the gala came to a successful conclusion. Looking back on the centenary journey, it has been magnificent. We deeply understand the true meaning of "life is endless, struggle is endless". The atmosphere at the gala was extremely warm, the lights were bright, and various performances were wonderful, winning bursts of cheers and warm applause from the audience.

This gala cleverly integrated the spirit of the national Constitution and Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law into diverse and attractive programs, and carried out vivid publicity in a way that the majority of audiences are willing to accept. During the gala, we used various artistic forms such as songs, dances, and sketches to organically combine the concept of the rule of law with daily life scenarios, enabling the audience to deeply feel the importance of the rule of law in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. This educational method of entertaining and teaching not only enhanced the attractiveness and appeal of legal education but also effectively promoted the internalization of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, stimulated the public's awareness of respecting and abiding by the law, and laid a solid foundation for building a society ruled by law.
